A Message from the board

2022 was a brighter year as we slowly returned back to normalcy after struggling with Covid-19. We kicked off the year with our Know Your Resources event where we had informative speakers provide valuable information and tips for businesses. On International Women’s Day, we celebrated some amazing women with our Women in Business Awards. We were thrilled to bring back in-person events this year, such as our Business After 5s and our Awards. We had an excellent time eating through Wasaga Beach and supporting our local restaurants through Wasagalicious! The community gave appreciation to their favourite businesses, organizations and individuals at our Business Recognition and Awards Ceremony. Our Holiday Social provided a great kickoff to the festive season with generous donations from the business community through our toy, coat and food drives.

Here at the Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce, our mission continues to focus on advocacy, education and networking as well as being a strong pillar of support for businesses in Wasaga Beach and the surrounding area. Our newsletter provides up-to-date information to our members and community and is a great way to stay in touch regarding various events. Our member directory found both on our website and in the Official Community Guidebook, is a great way to advertise and can help individuals find your business, or if you’re looking for a business or organization, you will find this to be a one-stop shop. Our Official Community Guidebook and Map is an excellent resource that can not only advertise your business to tens of thousands of individuals but, also give information about various attractions, trails, organizations and businesses in Wasaga Beach and surrounding areas! It is a great resource for visitors as well as residents.

With the launch of our new website in 2022 and the introduction of online payments, the Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce is transitioning to the digital sphere! We are making it easier for our members and the community to pay their Chamber invoices, find the information they need and keep up-to-date with the various Chamber events. Through paperless invoices to online nomination forms for our awards, we continue to strive to be a more modern and environmentally friendly organization.

The Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce will continue to work alongside local businesses and organizations in 2023, actively providing support and the greatest visibility, to help strengthen Wasaga Beach’s economy. We are excited about all the new opportunities 2023 will bring and we hope to see you at future Chamber events!
